Kelly Hall was born Dec 3, 1969 in Atlanta GA. She began piercing in 1993 in Athens GA under the tutelage of her friend Brian Skellie (Atlanta.) who was already a fixture among the piercing devotees in Atlanta. Graduated from the Fakir Musafar School of Professional Body Piercing (San Francisco, CA) in 1994 and upon returning home, helped open Pain and Wonder with the Twins of Pain, Watson and Mitchell Atkinson. Moved back to Atlanta in 1995 to continue her education with Brian Skellie and eventually became owner of Body Mind Piercing in Sacred Heart Tattoo in 1996. Body Mind folded so that she could further her education at the Georgia Paramedic Institute, graduate (EMT-Intermediate 1998.) Worked with the now owners of both Memorial Tattoo and Liberty Tattoo at Urban Tribe in Little Five Points before taking a few year break to pursue other interests. One of those was attending one year of mortuary school at the south’s premier institution, Gupton and Jones in 2003 before deciding that “live” people was again the way to go!

Now she is the owner of Memorial Piercing and also a freelance piercer at Liberty Tattoo. Only the best shops in the business, shops that adhere to the highest standards of both quality and service will do!

Plays drums and reads too many comics in her spare time…..

Horitoyo visits us from Japan every year. He is very talented and can draw amazingly. He works only on larger projects and only by appointment with a three hour minimum. He works in both electric and Tebori “traditional by hand” styles.

Stenvik Mostrom “Sten”

Born Stenvik Leif Mostrom in the Boston area, his strength was always in drawing and art related endeavors. After graduating from the Ringling School of Art and Design, he worked in the commercial arts for several years before finding his rightful place in tattooing. Since, he has worked from Gainesville Florida, to San Francisco California. He has called Atlanta home for several years now, and is still active in the local art community. Stenvik’s genuine love for drawing comes through in his tattoo work as well.

“Joey” Galigher

After graduating from SCAD Savannah in 1991 Joey Galiger moved to Atlanta where her artistic path eventually drew her to tattooing. She began in 1993 and after six years of decorating thousands of sexy Hotlantians she felt the urge to head west. This led her to Staircase Tattoo in Santa Cruz, CA where she found herself making mad dolphin art and hob nobbing with some lost boys. Not content to stay still she headed south in 2002 to the sunshiney land of the stars, Los Angeles. It took seven years between American Electric and Melrose Tattoo to conquer that jungle but at last that task was complete. After relaxing and working in Portland, OR for most of 2010 she has come full circle back to Atlanta to settle down and make super, double, extra, pretty tattoos @ Liberty Tattoo. Her favorite things to tattoo are kitties, flowers and dead guys and the weirdest place she has ever tattooed is a barn.

Rachel Anne

Rachel Anne was born in New York and raised by wolves in the wilds of New England. After being taken in by wandering gypsies she ended up in Virginia where she eventually landed an apprenticeship with Ben Miller of Ben Around Tattoos & Offbeat Gallery. After four years of humanization and direction, she struck off on her own gypsy ramble and ended up in Hotlanta, GA, where she worked for four years at Sacred Heart and travelled to conventions all over the country. Newly adopted by Liberty, Rachel enjoys taxidermy, crafting, history, and the written word. She loves anything circus, freakshow, victorian, or just plain creepy in general. In her spare time she likes to paint hot babes, shoot guns, and people watch.

Brianne O’Rourke

Brianne hails from deep in the swamps of South Florida. She has always had a passion and fascination for what the human body is capable of, and now can be found piercing her heart out with the Liberty family. Brianne may be new to Atlanta, but she is not a stranger to this industry. She has been piercing her way through the East Coast since 1998.

Brianne’s professional career began with her apprenticeship under the famous Noel Garcia. Noel is a world renowned Body Modification specialists who is known for Piercing since 1989, Branding, Scarification, Suspensions, & Fetish Show Play Piercings. Brianne assisted him on many of his modification adventures. Noel is known best in the professional community for his assistance in writing the Body Modification legislation laws for the state of Florida. She worked under Noel at many of his New Age Body Piercing locations. Most notably at Merlin’s Art Attack in Miami Beach, Rock-A-Billy Tattoo in Ft.Lauderdale and Lone Wolf Tattoo in Long Island.

After many years with Noel, Brianne decided to help her friends out at Black Sparrow Tattoo in Miami. Not only is she respected in the Body Modification community, but she also managed to make time to get her Interior Design degree. After receiving 2 design degrees and a certification in computer aided design, she wanted to be more involved in an artist community. Atlanta seemed like the perfect place to be! Now she couldn’t be happier working with an amazing group of artists at Liberty Tattoo…

Kaki Cannon

My name is Kaki and I started in the tattoo business nearly 20 years ago. Working my way up from floor girl I started tattooing in 1997. I learned under Ms Deborah in St Augustine Florida. I then moved to Miami and worked for Ken Cameron at South Beach Tattoo. Headed back north, I then went to Inksmith and Rogers, working for Eric Inksmith.

My husband Shay and I moved to Atlanta (his hometown) in 2001. In the summer of 2002 we opened Liberty on Ponce. A few years later in 2009 came our second shop on Boulevard in Grant Park.

I love tattooing and am eternally grateful to the people who let me in and to the people who keep me going.

Tad Coleman

Tad Coleman started tattooing in North Carolina back in 2004. He worked at Vertigo Tattoo on the Outer Banks for four years before moving back to Atlanta in 2008.
